To set up a printer for the first time, remove the printer and all packing materials from the box, load paper into the input tray, connect the power cable, and then download and install the printer software. Step 1: Remove the printer from the box, and then remove packing materials Remove the printer from the box and all tape, stickers, and packing materials from the printer. HP Laserjet Pro M15W turns off unexpectedly or repeatedly Resolve power-related issues if the printer turns off without warning, printer jobs fail, or the printer does not respond to any job started after entering sleep mode. Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved. Check energy saving settings (optional) HP printers are designed to reduce power consumption by powering off when the printer is not active. When you are ready to use the printer again, press the power button to turn the printer back on. Experiencing frequent or recurring paper jams? Follow these steps to solve problems with frequent paper jams.
