Check ink or toner levels regularly to estimate how much ink or toner remains. When ink or toner becomes low, consider purchasing replacement supplies to have on hand.

Check toner levels (HP LaserJet Tank printers)

Use the toner gauge on the front of the printer to check the toner level. The gauge bar values are estimated toner levels and may vary slightly from the actual toner level.

When the bottom bar on the gauge glows steadily and the toner level indicator blinks continuously with an amber light, printing stops until more toner is added.
